The Port of Guangzhou and ASEAN Seas Lines have jointly launched an express shipping route at the Nansha port area to facilitate cargo flow between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and Vietnam.

The BVX shipping line was opened on June 26 when Nansha port received the first ship service, increasing the number of routes to Vietnam’s Haiphong port to seven at Nansha. Nansha is now able to deliver shipments to Haiphong every day.

The new trade route offers one of the fastest transit time and the most reliable ship schedules in South China. Delivery takes only two days from Nansha to Haiphong. Also, it is well suited for transporting various types of dangerous goods and special purpose containers.

A dedicated fleet of ASEAN Seas Lines will depart from Shekou port in Shenzhen and visit Humen port in Dongguan, then call at Nansha port every Friday before heading to Haiphong.

ASEAN Seas Lines worked with the Port of Guangzhou for the first time to establish an efficient and convenient short-sea connection between the Greater Bay Area and northern Vietnam. The new service is expected to expand bilateral trade and market influences.
